Offered here are 4 excellent examples of a well known fossil from a classic American locality.
I believe that area is closed to collecting now.
These shells are treated with acid to expose their pyrite coating.
There is quite a bit of pyrite on and in these specimens and that makes the pieces feel fairly heavy & dense.
This is a good chance to get a nice 4 lot of fossils from a classic American locality for an affordable price.

These specimens are in good to very good condition.
Weight for all 4 pcs is approximately 120 grams.
These brachiopods range from approximately 1-1/4″ to 1-3/4″ in width.
They range from 17 to 36 grams in weight.
