Description

This Canadian Five Cent coin is guaranteed genuine and as described.  Please study the photos to be certain this coin will be an asset to your collection. Many nickels from Canada have a “near rim” or “far rim” variety. I’ve studied these varieties and am reasonably certain they are correctly attributed. While many collectors don’t care which variety it is, if it makes a big difference to you, please study the coin carefully to make certain it’s the variety you want or need.
Regarding pricing, I’ve consulted Canadian Trends and then adjusted the price to reflect U.S. Dollar prices. Please also note that Canadian Trends lists the lower value for each grade. For example “Very Fine” grades have 15 “numbers” from low to high, but the Trend Price is listed for the lowest VF grade. Therefore, if my estimation of the grade is higher than the lowest numerical grade, the price will also be higher. (I’m sure you already know that sellers are not permitted to use the numerical grades unless the coin is certified. Most lower-priced coins are not worth the certification charge, in my opinion.) If this explanation doesn’t make sense, please ask me, and I’ll explain it as fully as eBay will allow.
I’ve been buying and selling coins for over 55 years and selling on eBay since June, 1998. I feel my selling prices are fair to everyone, so I
DO NOT
accept lower offers.
